Creed owes no money

Orlando's homegrown Christian rock band, Creed, have split, but the group went out on a winning note -- legal note, anyway.

Band attorney Rob McNeely reports that a Chicago judge issued a final ruling confirming that fans who were unhappy with a 2002 concert are not entitled to refunds.

"It's an absolute victory for the freedom of artistic expression -- the freedom to be excellent and the freedom to be awful," McNeely said, later adding that he wasn't conceding that Creed's performance at the concert was awful.

This was the show, you may remember, after which frontman Scott Stapp called Taking Names to report that when he appeared to be passed out on stage, he was actually performing a "symbolic, personal gesture."
