Tom Arnold: "The hit single "My Sacrifice"
"Hello my friend we meet again, it's been awhile where should we begin. Feels like forever. Within my heart of memories a perfect love that you gave to me..."
Tom Arnold: "Please welcome Scott Stapp."
Chris Rose: "Scott how are you?"
Tom Arnold: "Let me tell you something, this man here, he's not just a rock star but you are a true sports fan."
Scott Stapp: "Yes."
Tom Arnold: "I mean I've seen you at the Super Bowls, I've seen you playing a little ball, and I've got to ask you though the halftime show, you know Justin, Janet, Boob; has anything like that every happened to you?"
Scott Stapp: "Um on stage? Yes."
Leeann Tweeden: "What happened?"
Scott Stapp: "I ripped the back of my pants."
Tom Arnold: "It was an accident?"
Scott Stapp: "It was an accident though."
Leeann Tweeden: "What happened?"
Scott Stapp: "And I did the whole show without the back of my pants on."
Chris Rose: "That can't be good."
Leeann Tweeden: "I bet the girls in the front row were excited."
Scott Stapp: "I changed the way I moved you know; you've got to have; I walked this way and sideways and backways."
Leeann Tweeden: "You never spun around?"
Scott Stapp: "And then during the encore I changed pants."
Lincoln Kennedy: "Hey Scott man I'm a big fan of yours but tell me how would you describe your music because some people describe you as Christian Rock. How would you describe it?"
Scott Stapp: "I think we got that description because of my up bringing and I use analogies sometimes that come from uh my upbringing. I think we are anthemic rock, you know we take people on journeys, highs and lows and try to bring feeling back to music ya know and I'll continue to do that with my solo record that should be out later this year."
Tom Arnold: "I know we are excited about that your first album is called My Own Prison, is that about marriage?"
Scott Stapp: "You and me should know."
Tom Arnold: "Exactly we do you know."
Chris Rose: "You know who is the biggest Creed fan up here?"
Scott Stapp: "Who's that?"
Chris Rose: "The big man over there."
Lincoln Kennedy: "I love ya man I'm a big fan."
Scott Stapp: "I appreciate that."
Lincoln Kennedy: "My Sacrifice, With Arms Wide Open"
Tom Arnold: "Can you sing a few bars?"
Lincoln Kennedy: "Naw I mean I wish I could. If I could I'd be trying to take this guys job, but I understand something. If you weren't a rock star what else would you be doing?"
Scott Stapp: "Well right now I'm pursuing my acting career, um but athletically baseball or basketball."
Chris Rose: "Get out of here. That's all right."
Lincoln Kennedy: "How good were you?"
Scott Stapp: "See I was doing Iverson's game before he was around."
Crowd groans and laughs.
Leeann Tweeden: "Tall talk right there."
Scott Stapp: "But I've played ball since I was 5; 3 sports, football, baseball and basketball all the way up through freshman year in college and uh I've got a story about the World Series when Boomer started the World Series."
Tom Arnold: "Right."
Scott Stapp: "We had a throw off without warming up fast pitch ya know see who could throw the hardest. He throws first, the throws 86, I throw first we tie."
Tom Arnold: "Wow."
Scott Stapp: "He throws second, he throws 87, I'm like I'm getting you now. I threw my last one 89, without warmup."
Tom Arnold: "Right."
Leeann Tweeden: "Wow"
Scott Stapp: "I won some money, you know how Boomer is, and uh he says your arm is going to be spaghetti tomorrow, I said naw, I've been doing this my whole life. It's funny every, I meet a lot of athletes and have a lot of friends that are athletes and they want to do what I do and I want to do what they do."
Leeann Tweeden: "Why is that? Why do rock stars want to be athletes and athletes want to be rock stars?"
Scott Stapp: "Grass is always greener maybe. I don't know, ya know we uh I don't know."
Tom Arnold: "It keeps you humble."
Scott Stapp: "Why is that?"
Tom Arnold: "Cause it keeps you humble. To me if I see an athlete and I go I could never do what he does or a rock star I could never do what he does it keeps you humble, it keeps you a fan of something greater than yourself."
Scott Stapp: "Right."
Chris Rose: "Tommy what is it that you do exactly?"
Tom Arnold: "I don't know what I do."
Chris Rose: "Actually you were talking about hanging out with athletes. Mike Piazza is a buddy of yours right? Has he ever wanted to go over to the other side?"
Scott Stapp: "We've hung out a few times he came over to my house one night, Kid Rock played in Orlando, Bob."
Chris Rose: "Yeah."
Scott Stapp: "Edwin McCain was there and we were all jamming."
Tom Arnold: "So Piazza was jamming too?"
Scott Stapp: "And Ron Ventura was there, no he doesn't play."
Tom Arnold: "Right."
Scott Stapp: "Well he tried."
Tom Arnold: "Right."
Scott Stapp: But, and we had a mic there and Edwin just sang, he had a hit, I'm trying to remember."
Tom Arnold: "Never gonna fall like this before. Was that him?"
Scott Stapp: "No, no hey want to join my new band?"
Tom Arnold: "Love to."
Scott Stapp: "But anyway, um Mike just decided to pick up the microphone and start, just start wailing."
Leeann Tweeden: "Alright when you are not jamming with Mike Piazza and guys I hear that your favorite team is the Cowboys and you recently had a little heart to heart talk with Jerry Jones."
Scott Stapp: "That was when I did the half time show. Ya know how many fans get a chance to sit down with the owner of a team and speak their mind?"
Leeann Tweeden: "Not many."
Scott Stapp: "And I wasn't sure about the Quincy move and so I talked to him about it and he has sure proven me wrong. And I was at the Giants' game this year the first one where the Cowboys beat the Giants in New York and I was in the Jones' box and they have a wonderful family. Jerry is so misunderstood he is a warm, loving human being and his daughter Charlotte is amazing."
Leeann Tweeden: "I just met Jerry Jr. recently."
Scott Stapp: "Jerry Jones, Jr. great guy, great family."
Chris Rose: "You basically have an apology though to issue. Quincy Carter you know what, you could do it right now."
Scott Stapp: "Let's see."
Chris Rose: "Look who's here."
Scott Stapp: "Here's what happened, here's what happened, Jerry, Mr. Jones, said to me, he said 'you go watch Quincy throw 100 balls during warm-ups' and I went over and watched and I said, he can throw the football, I mean he got me and uh, so we were at that Monday night game I believe it was and Brock Berlin who's the quarterback for the Miami Hurricanes is a family friend of mine since we were like four or five years old, so I'm pitching him you know, like you guys need to drop Brock when he gets done with Miami you know and harassing Jerry, Mr. Jones, excuse me and uh he, but he was cool with it and uh but uh Quincy he's, it's like a four year education in football man you get out of college then you gotta do your thing and I think Quincy's gonna be an all pro quarterback."
Talk about solo album
Scott Stapp: "I'm working with 7 Aurelius I'm kinda trying to re-invent the rock wheel man. So 7 Aurelius did Ashanti, Ja Rule. I'm taking my sound kinda Zepplin, Doors and I'm colliding it with some of those grooves that make your 15's thump in the back with my voice singing rock over the top of it."
Tom Arnold: "Will there be a tour?"
Scott Stapp: "Oh yeah."
Leeann Tweeden: "You'll have to come back by here and play for us out in the cage."
Scott Stapp: "I'll play."
