Creed has issued a warning to fans not to buy a counterfeit home video titled Creed: Riding On The Edge. The band's management decided to put out the advisory after receiving notes and e-mails from fans who feel they were "ripped off" by the home video, which was not licensed by the band or its record company, Wind-Up. There is good news, however -- Creed is assembling its own home video that should be ready at the end of the year.
The band isn't sitting still creatively, either. Creed often works on new riffs during soundchecks, but guitarist Mark Tremonti prefers the old way of Creed songcrafting. Tremonti told LAUNCH about how the band's approach to songwriting has changed. "It's not quite as fun as it was in the old days where it didn't mean anything, where we could just get drunk with your buddies and just jam," he said. "That was fun with 10 or 15 people. Now it's more of a stale writing atmosphere, where it's at the clubs, where all the crew and everybody is running around watching you write songs, and you just can't stand everybody sitting there watching you write."
Meanwhile, Creed has added dates with Collective Soul, starting September 22 in Sacramento, California. The two bands will tour through October 9, winding down in Spring, Texas.
