Long story short, CREED does it again...with their NEW ALBUM "WEATHERED",putting out one of the most EPIC and emotionally driven pure hard rock albums the world has seen in some time. Lead singer Scott Stapp injects each song with one of the best and passionate voices in the business. Guitarist Mark Tremonti serves double duty this time around; handling guitar & bass. His chilling and electrifying riffs will leave you in awe and begging for more. Drummer Scott Phillips reinforces the band's sound with his amazing skills.The Orlando (Fla.) band Creed once again delivers music in an industry inundated with prima donnas and pop candy talent.
Any "bashers" will be disgruntled Pearl Jam fans (that comparison is old and unfounded)...Instead of needing a marketing machine, Creed just produces rock steady anthems that aren't interested in the current excesses of glamour or "pop candy" music, their music is RELEVANT and has MEANING. When I heard My Own Prison, it was the best album I ever heard. Then Creed released Human Clay, and it was a huge improvement. Weathered continues the trend and is truly a masterpiece that was written in 3 WEEKS!!
always, the lyrics (written by Scott Stapp) are deep and meaningful. The entire album has a smooth flow starting with the hard edged head-banging Bullets all the way to soft edge Lullaby. Creed successfully tries new things such as an indian vocalist chanting on their best song on the CD and most EPIC (8 mins) - "Who's Got My Back", others like Hide, Stand Here With Me, One Last Breath, Freedom Fighter...but they also keep the classic Creed sound on other songs such as My Sacrifice, Weathered and Signs....... This album is Creed's best release so far and I can't wait to hear how they top it! - Wow!! Never in my life have I heard not only one, but eleven of the most touching, soul feeding songs. Stapp and the boys have outdone their previous album Human Clay with added strings and even a woman's voice and a boy's choir....There is something for everyone....Music is food for the soul and CREED's music will feed your soul.
You won't be wasting anything in owning and listening to this masterpiece. If you like music like U2, Tool, Fuel, Nickelback, Matchbox 20 then you will LOVE CREED. The last words of the CD are "If there's one thing I hope I've showed you....just give love to all". AGAIN, for the reason described above, you will not be disappointed with any of CREED's albums especially Weathered- Peace
